Blast at railway station kills two people in Chaman
Wednesday, August 21st, 2013 3:30:30 by Tahir KhanA bomb blast at a railway station Wednesday killed at least two people in Balochistan, police and hospital sources said.
The blast at Chaman, main city in Balochistan province, occurred when passengers were to board a train, witnesses said.
The blast also injured 10 more people, including women and children. The injured were taken to the main hospital in Chaman, which borders Afghanistan. Doctors said that three injured were registered critical.
The blast delayed the departure of the train to Quetta, the provincial capital.
Security forces Balochistan is in the grip of violence and several attacks were also carried out on trains and buses.
No group claimed responsibility for the incident. The authorities blame such attacks in insurgents.
Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif condemned the Chaman Railway Station bomb blast which resulted into the loss of precious human lives and injuring of others.
The Prime Minister prayed to Almighty Allah for resting the departed souls in eternal peace and granting courage to the bereaved families to bear their loss with fortitude.
The Prime Minister directed the concerned authorities to provide the best medical facilities to the injured.
