Chaudhry Nisar Talks About Forming Opposition

It was recently reported from Karachi that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) members and the Federal Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, came out in the open on Saturday morning and spoke about how MQM can form a strong opposition in Sindh. Their comments come under the spotlight with the impending local bodies’ elections serving as a backdrop for the whole situation.

Sources in the city claim that a delegation of the MQM, along with Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, held a meeting inside the Governor House on Saturday and they discussed the law and order situation which is currently being examined by the city of Karachi. There were others matters brought to the table as well.

The MQM delegation spoke to the Interior Minister by stating that they will soon be forming a major opposition party in the Sindh Government. They were talking about how the current local body has been unfair to them throughout the process and there has been political victimization of MQM activists in the vicinity of Karachi.

Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) and MQM are expected to form an alliance in Sindh and it is expected that members of these parties will keep on holding different meetings in the future as well. A joint opposition in Sindh was discussed by members of both the parties and they agreed upon keeping better relations in the future.
