UAE Extends Support to Pakistan against Militants

Interior Minister and Prime Minister of United Arab Emirates, Lt General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, recently came out in the open and said that he is fully supporting the Pakistani government in its action against extremists and terrorists who are currently residing in the tribal areas of North Waziristan.

Pakistan is in a state of war against the militants who have been proving to be difficult to handle since the past several years. Tehreek e Taliban and the Pakistani government were about to get involved in peace talks but they fell through after few incidents where TTP took the responsibility for killing several innocent.

The final nail in the coffin was when the militants entered the Karachi airport and tried to burn down a plane. The army handled the situation well and after that they decided to launch a full military operation in Waziristan. Several militant hideouts have been destroyed during the process and the people who have escaped from the area have been registered by the Pakistani government and now they are being shifted to IDP camps in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

 The Pakistani government has personally thanked UAE for offering help in order to eradicate this problem once and for all.
