World Bank Reveals Pakistan’s Urban Air Pollution Problems

This is due to the fact that the urban pollution in Pakistan is the worst kind. Moreover, according to the report it is not only the most severe in the world, but also quite harmful for human kind.
The report directly calls upon the government to take serious action against this problem. They have stated that Pakistan should cleanse its air as it is causing a global problem.
It is being said that Pakistan needs to tackle this problem as soon as possible, starting from the bigger cities at first. Karachi is the major industrial city which is coming under the radar. Moreover, Faisalabad and Lahore have also come under the limelight.
The current trends of industrialization, urbanization and motorisation have stated that over the years the pollution situation at Pakistan is only going to worsen. It’s due to the fact that Pakistan’s air quality is not where it should be and the country is not working fully at its full capacity to get rid of this issue.
According to the report, more than 22,600 adult deaths in 2005 were caused in some way by urban air pollution.
