Najma Kamal’s art exhibition end, leaving deep impression

An exhibition of a renowned artist, Najma Kamal, held at Al-Hamra Arts Council, the Mall Lahore has ended on Saturday, October 8, leaving ever-inspiring beauty of spring colours with visitors.

The art exhibition organised by the Lahore Arts Council started with the name of “Landscapes and Flowers” on Monday, October 4th evening, was inaugurated by Iqbal Husain, a well-reputed artist from Lahore.

Many art lovers, students, artists and interested people attended the exhibition to enjoy the wonders, Najma Kamal created with bold strokes and bright colour combination. Visitors showed great interest and appreciated the simple but inspiring collection by Najma in which she painted the nature in mesmerising and most unassuming forms.

Najma Kamal draws the amazing landscapes of wastelands, an ever-lasting beauty of the Mother Nature and flora and fauna of the land. She travelled the whole country before putting his brush on canvass in order to select the ideal sights and moments for her up-coming exhibition. She selected un-usual and unorthodox scenes of nature and presented them in an influential manner.

Najma presented all her art work for sale, with price ranges from Rs.20,000 to Rs.30,000. Much of her art works received great appraisal and visitors felt pleasure to buy them on their demanded payment. The jubilant people praised paintings and expressed their opinion, saying the combination of scenes and colour was “soothing to eyes”.

Another exhibition of the combination of Paintings and photography under the title of “Side by Side” by a young artist, Butool Waheed held at the Alhamra Art Gallery, the Mall, from Monday October 4 to 8, now has ended, giving excellent appreciation to the artist.

An artist with a broader range, draws the testimony of his brilliance and skills. Batool exhibited over 46 photos and 17 paintings, each shows some tragi
c and deep feel and meaning of life. Her art work indicates her struggle and determination in her journey to reach where she was today.

An ex-student of Beaconehouse National University in Photography and Fine Arts expressed her views, saying she tried to draw her feelings and thoughts to make them the part of the system. Batool received great appreciation and progress in the field of art. She is still, however, looking to stand along the top artists.
