Dengue claims seven more deaths in Lahore

 

 

The deadly dengue fever claimed seven more deaths and the total number of dengue deaths surged to 249 from 242, in Lahore, on Saturday, October 15th.

The dengue patients, who lost their lives earlier in the day include Zainab, 65, a resident of Misry Shah, Muhammad Iqbal, 62, a resident of Islam Ganj, Abdul Ghafoor, 60, an inhabitant of Rajgarh, Kaneez Fatima, 55, an inhabitant of Fatehgarh, Nasir Bux, 50, a resident of Ichhra, Shafiq, 25, a resident of Gajja Peer, Ferozepur Road and Sana Zafar, 30, an inhabitant of Gulshan Ravi.

Meanwhile, the Punjab government has confirmed over 27,000 people dengue patients, of whom, 15000 dengue victims belong to Lahore.

In addition, 74 dengue patients have been diagnosed positive at Mayo Hospital, including 44 in Ganga Ram Hospital, 28 at Services Hospital, 48 at Jinnah Hospital, 27 at Sheikh Zaid Hospital, 21 at Institute of Public Health, 24 at General Hospital and19 dengue patients at Children’s Hospital. Moreover, 98 dengue victims have been tested positive at both the public and private hospitals, including laboratories and clinics, in the province.

In the meantime, The City District Government Lahore has launched a Special Dengue Brigade that comprises of 20 vehicles for the removal of dengue syndrome in the town.

In the last 24 hours, 248 dengue patients have been tested positive and the total number of dengue victims surged to 14031, in the city of Lahore.

The dengue virus is creating a huge problem for the people of Lahore. In fact, dengue mosquito has caused many people mental fatigues and trauma. Dengue fever is a deadly syndrome that affects the immune system of a person by mitigating his or her blood platelets from the body. More importantly, dengue fever not only diminishes the blood levels but also creates a chronic muscle ache and headache along with a bleeding.

At the moment, dengue fever has targeted to entire city of Lahore and it has indeed taken the lives of so many people in the city.

Meanwhile, The Chief Minister of Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif has taken an oath to eradicate the dengue virus from the province in a short period of time.
