It has been reported that seven more people lost their lives due to dengue virus and the total number of deaths surged to 242 in Lahore, on Friday, October 14.
Nimra, 20, a resident of Shahdara, Kaneez Bibi, 55, an occupant of Gujarpura, Riaz, 70, an inhabitant of Rustam Park, Malka Bibi, 55, a resident of Bhati Gate, Rubina, 20, a resident of Gujranwala, Fatima, 24, a resident of Wafaqi Colony and Asif, 28 lost their lives due to dengue vrius, in Lahore.
It has been confirmed that 438 victims have been reported dengue virus, surging the total number of dengue patients up to 27,000. Around 80 dengue victims were diagnosed positive in Mayo Hospital, including 44 in Sir GangaRam Hospital, 30 in Services Hospital, 48 in Jinnah Hospital, 19 in Children’s Hospital, 31 in Jinnah Hospital, 37 in Shaikh Zayed Hospital, 25 in General Hospital, 19 in Institute of Public Health, and 41 dengue patients in Children Hospital. Moreover, 115 dengue patients have been reported positive in public and private hospitals, laboratories and clinics in the province.
The army medical doctors disclosed a fact that almost 150,000 dengue patients were admitted in the medical camps. But, the good thing is that over 108,806 dengue patients have benefited from the free blood screening facility in the province. Meanwhile, 5,500 dengue patients were taken care of and discharged after the complete treatment.
In the meantime, the army allocated 12 medical and 35 fumigation teams in an attempt to get rid of vicious dengue virus in Lahore, on Wednesday, September 12. The proactive dengue strategies turned into positive results with a substantial decrease in the dengue victims all the way through this week.
On the other hand, 46 people were diagnosed positive and the total number of dengue patients surged to 547, in Faisalabad. Moreover, six people were diagnosed positive and the total number of dengue victims escalated to 370, in Multan. Eight new dengue patients were confirmed and the total number dengue patients increased to 248, in Bahawalpur.
Furthermore, there are 181 dengue patients in Sargodha, 107 in Gujranwala, 87 in Taxila and 16 in Mianwali, respectively.
