War against Terrorism is in our own favor, says Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar

Our war against terrorism is in our own favor and international community should accept our sacrifices, the World should support our efforts to promote peace in spite of criticizing, said Federal Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar in an interview here at Islamabad.

On Saturday evening, talking to media personals Hina Rabbani khar said Pakistan should be made part of the discussion to cope effectively with the terrorism. She further added that we wanted to sit with America to solve all the disputes, as Pakistan believes dialogue will help both countries to understand each other in a better way.

Hina Rabbani Khar said War against terrorism is in our own favor and we are the part of the international struggle against terrorism. Our raid on Swat shows our commitment to promote peace and harmony.

In an answer to a question, Rabbani said we are fighting those who are against our country, our nation, our people and our integrity. We have denied all allegations of America that our institutions are involved with terrorists. She said we are not the cause of problem we are the part of the solution.

She said the tension between the countries is because of difference of opinion in operational matters. Pakistan is an independent country and we would not compromise our internal integrity at any cost. We would have to give the same importance to Afghanistan as we have given to America.

In a question about the progress of the discussions being made with India, Rabbani said we believe on dialogue not on statements. We have talked to India to increase the bilateral trade relations. We appreciated India’s decision to support us in our demand to give access to European Markets.

When asked about the participation of the turkey in development of the country, foreign Minister said that Turkey is our friend country and its role is considerable. Turkey has also played a vital role to promote peace in Pakistan and the World. Istanbul Conference is the evidence of the interest Turkey has shown to promote peace and harmony in the World, especially in Afghanistan. She said that turkey has also raised the Kashmir issue in United Nations and Pakistani government is taking radical steps to increase trade with Turkey.
