The top heroines of India are once again going to attract the attention of their fans by coming on the Bollywood screen.
Madhuri Dixit is most prominent female in Hindi industry, she moved to America after getting married but now she again back to India, bag and baggage. Sridevi, Reveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor were also among the most popular in cinema.
Madhuri told the media that this is the right time for the older actresses to come back in Bollywood industry and with more mature and change role according to attitudes and expectation of the people.
Madhuri explained, “Our society is changing and so are the attitudes of people. The subjects of our films have changed dramatically compared to 10 years ago. I feel there is a lot to do for actresses like me in the film industry.”
Madhuri already signed film and she says her selection is based on the script. Previously, she has performed in the two films, Mrityudand and Prahaar but it doesn’t mean that she stayed away from art house. However, she wants to take a part in both commercial and art-house cinema.
The 48-years-old Sridevi who is married to movie producer Boney Kapoor and now has began shooting in new film, “English Vinglish” and told the media that she was really happy with her family but on the other hand she felt nervous and excited about returning to industry.
The 37-years-old, Karisma Kapoor a mother of two children, is now return in 3D horror film “Dangerous Ishq” (Dangerous Love). She also performed in a song of next movie “Housefull 2”.
Karisma sister Kareena said, “I’d like to do some heavy-duty performance-oriented films. I’m a Meryl Streep fan and I think age or marital status can never be a deterrent for an actor. The only thing that one needs is passion.”
The Indian director Nikhil Advani who has made films like, Salaam-e-Ishq: A Tribute To Love (2007), Chandni Chowk To China (2009) and Patiala House (2011) are decided to bring together all Bollywood top heroines in one screen.
Now, it’s time to see, what results Nikhil’s effort would bring out with her new project.
