Apparent negligence of lady doctor takes the life of a woman in Okara

Nazia Naveed the resident of Hafiz Colony, fall a prey to the obvious negligence of a lady doctor after giving birth to a child in Okara on October 13. The mother of Nazia, Bashiran Bibi complaint the local police about the incident and said that her daughter was operated successfully after she was brought to a private hospital of Dr Rizwana Zahid for a delivery case; however, the victim was left at the mercy of time after the process.

Bashiran further alleged that the staff of the private hospital kept on demanding more money and ignored the patient who needed intense care as she was under critical conditions after the C-section. Bashiran Bibi also stated that the staff asked them to arrange the blood late at night and ignored her daughter until the next morning. Meanwhile, Nazia could not resist more to the cruel claws of death due to over-bleeding and left the newly born alone after few hours of his birth.

The concerned doctor has not expressed her stand over the issue and police have registered a case against her and staff. The decedents have appealed the police for justice over the criminal negligence of lady doctor and her staff.

In a separate incident of violence, a ruthless son strangled her mother along with his two other brothres over a minor family dispute. According to the details Naeemullah the occupant of Rajowal village in Okara, with his two brothers Abdul Basit and Abdur Rauf, sons of Maulvi Ilamuddin, entered the house and started beating their mother Sharifan Bibi. Meanwhile, the daughter of victim came to rescue her, but the accused tied her neck with a sheet and strangled her. The Hujra Shah Muqeem police have registered a case and started investigations.

Such acts of violence are common in the whole Okara district and the local Police is acting like a quiet spectator over the issues. A swift and transparent action is required to reduce the ratio of crimes in the District so that the life and property of every citizen could be secured.
