Khyber Grill restaurant located in the heart of Rawalpindi, Cantt, Saddar and offers the hospitality of the North-west end of Pakistan, serving to the food affectionate people with the best traditional taste and environment.

Traditionally Khyber grill serves marvelous lamb Tikka and Karahi but in a very unique style. Here the carcasses of Halal Lamb are strung up in front of the butcher where you can select your pick. Your choice will be then prepared for you.

Also, the meat is ordered  in kilograms and then prepared according to one’s preference, either as Tikka (barbecued) on the griller without any masala (spices) except for salt, or as Karahi (stir-fried finished with fresh tomatoes and chilies).

Furthermore, the restaurants specialty is ‘‘Dumpukht’’, which is a finely sliced pieces of lamb cooked on low heat of the coal steamed for several hours without any oil or masala. The simplicity of the food makes it attractive for the costumers as it is a high protein meal, and healthier when compared with all the junk food available in the markets these days.

The restaurant does not require lavish interiors and exclusive decors. The owners have given it a very traditional touch, depicting the true origins of the food and the people (Pukhtuns or Pathans), who actually started such trend in the urban areas of the country.

It is simply decorated with lots of plants around and a bedstead of woven webbing stretched on a wooden frame with four legs covered with red carpets, making itself an alternative to chairs and tables, an traditional but ideal dine in for families.

To add to the customary atmosphere, the waiters are all dressed wearing Shalwar Kameez (national dress in Pakistan) and turbans, which typically reminds you of the Pakhtuns. When done with the food people are served with a green tea which has a unique flavour and is usually served sweet. Green tea helps digesting food quickly and does not make you feel lousy.

The restaurants management has ensured a complete hygienic and tasty food. Their quality and taste of the food has ensured them customer loyalty, where often visit, at least twice a month.
