Islamabad – Police managed to prevent two terrorist attacks in the capital city of Pakistan. Four terrorists were arrested along with huge hoard of weaponry including Kalashnikovs, pistols, guns, telescopes, ammunition and also two cars.
Interior Minister, Rehman Malik, alarmed IGP of Islamabad, Bani Amin Khan, and he was the one who took quick action in order to avoid any mischievous happenings in the city.
Muhammad Yousaf Malik, SSP of Islamabad; along with Sajid Kiyani, SP Saddar; and Liaqat Ali, Ch. Liaqat Ali, SP Investigation; made two teams which were to check different points in the city for any illegal activities. City’s inner and outer cordons were both checked and soon they were able to catch the ones involved.
Reports suggest that a special team commanded by SP Saddar, Sajid Kiyani, was performing its duty near Golra Police Station. The team managed to stop a suspected car (STL 7755) making way into the city.
The car was well checked by the police force and they were able to reveal a number of weapons from the vehicle. The weapons were concealed in the hidden cavities of the car but the police force managed to take them out. Both the individuals seated in the car were arrested on the spot. The arrested people are identified as: Muhammad Ibrahim s/o Ghalib Jan of Takht Bhai district Mardan and Muhammad Islam s/o Haji Aziz who resides in Hyat Abad, Peshawar.
After being successful near Golra Police Station, security was tightened and another team managed to catch two more terrorists near Tarnol Police Station.
