PML-N is to start ‘Go Zardari Go’ campign
Wednesday, October 19th, 2011 1:35:26 by Sajjad HussainPakistan People’s Party has another ostensibly insurmountable challenge to confront in the days to come. The party’s biggest political rival Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) announced on Tuesday, October 18, that it will commence ‘Go Zardari Go’ campaign
from Wednesday to drive out the government.
The maverick politician representing PML-N, Sardar Nisar Ali Khan, said that the campaign will formally start from Dera Ghazi Khan on Wednesday. The announcement was made during a party gathering in Rawalpindi, considered to be the stronghold of PML-N stalwart.
Thrashing out the plan further, Nisar Ali Khan said that the party would then hold rallies in this regard in Lahore on 26th of this month, and in Faisalabad on 4th November. The rallies, he expects, will pull the disgruntled and disillusioned
masses.
“PML-N is committed to save the country from Zardari. We want to bring such a system which will ensure justice for all in the country,” said Chaudhry Nisar.
Nisar went ahead and said that by Eidul Azha, the movement will touch new heights and will force the Zardari-led ruling elite to leave the government.
Nisar’s tirade did not stop there. Having got prominence for his temper, and – all the same – extreme displeasure with the presence of PPP in the centre, Nisar said PPP was no longer the ‘PPP of Bhuttos”, it had become that of “Zardaris”.
Nisar also asserted that misdeeds of the president have been worse than Musharraf. He also vowed to save the country brought to the bring –as he said, by the current government. Citing the problems that have befallen the nation, Nisar appealed to the masses
to back his party and the campaign.
He also said that loadshedding added to the people’s miseries while there was ever increasing unemployment which in turn exacerbated poverty in the country. His thrust was that with the brewing energy crisis, no plan was chalked out to deal with the issue.
Citing the effectiveness of the recently held protests against the loadshedding that led to the end of the problem, he hopes, people would once again support his party in the coming campaign.
