Apple’s Iphone 4s is no different in design but a big step forward in Smartphone evolution

It has been only 5 days since Apple came out with its newest edition of the Iphone, the Iphone 4s.  It was euphoria of rumours and speculation before the release but now it is finally confirmed we will not see an Iphone 5 this year, however Iphone4s will do just fine for now.

Iphone 4s has the same design of its predecessor the Iphone4, but the hardware has been tweaked. First of all now the Iphone is packed with the A5 chip which is dual core, an 8 mega pixel camera, which for an Iphone is a major improvement.

The most interesting feature of the phone though is the introduction to Siri. Siri is basically a voice recognition app that is integrated into the Iphone; it acts like an artificial intelligence agent in the palm of your hands.

You can talk to it; ask it to change appointments, calendar dates, text messages, weather forecast, and a lot more. It is a leap towards being able to talk to you phone to do tasks on it. It has been tried before it is nothing new but Iphone like it normally does, has done it almost perfectly.

The only drawback that has come forward from it is that Siri is not as compatible when it comes to different accents, it may interpret your accent into something you did not intend the phone to do, but like always Apple will soon come with more updates and language support for it and revolutionize phone usage one more time.

The battery time has been improved as well and is a major plus considering the bigger processor chip in the phone. The phone also has improved on call quality; Apple has given dual antenna on the Iphone 4s to escape the grip of death, which marred the Iphone 4 release with a lot of bad reviews last year.

The new Iphone also comes loaded with the latest IOS 5 from apple, which is not as big an upgrade as IOS 4 was, but still has a lot of good features that are worthy of notice.

IOS 5 brings notification bars on the lock screen, quick access to camera, and you can even use the dedicated volume keys on the side of the phone to snap pictures instantly.  It has a total of about 200 new tweaks and features.

It will be interesting to see how Apple will better the Iphone 4s next year, considering that was Steve Jobs last project before he died of cancer on 5^th October 2011.
