12- Do HTV cause disturbance in the flow of traffic?

HTV (Heavy Transport Vehicles) are another reason which cause disturbance in the flow of the traffic. These vehicles cover much part of the road and block the light vehicles coming behind. Due to the disturbance of in the traffic flow, accidents become quite common which cause huge loss of lives and property. There should be proper roads (wide roads), which should be used for the HTV to avoid the disturbance in the traffic flow and also minimise the risk of the road accidents.

13- What should be the speed limit in Public places?

It is a very important question which should be given much emphasis. Speed limit is the most important element which either saves you from an accident or puts you in danger. Though speed should be taken care of at any place but it becomes very important at public places. At public places the speed limit should not exceed 40 km/h. It becomes very dangerous to exceed this limit at busy places, where it can become dangerous for the people.

14- Should speed breaker be built on main roads?

Speed breakers are good in some ways but also create trouble in another way. The importance in this regard is the place where the speed breaker is built. If a road accommodates a bulk of traffic like canal road of Lahore, then speed breakers become very dangerous as they will create problem in the flow of the traffic. Sudden breaks by the drivers can cause severe accidents. But on services roads and the key points where huge number of people cross the road by foot, speed breaker should be built to avoid accidents.

15- Do signals in the city work properly?

The signal system in Lahore is good but it should be improved as numerous signals remain out of order. The manual system can create problems and sometimes causes severe accidents as many people remain unable to see the traffic constable on the road indicating the direction of the traffic. Signal system needs improvement which will help out greatly to people and the flow of the traffic will remain uninterrupted.

16- Does Government take proper steps to eliminate traffic problems?

The Government of Punjab is working well at the moment in this regard as there are many roads under construction including some over head bridges as well. But these efforts should be accelerated which is quite necessary to accommodate the traffic which is increasing with an incredible speed.

17- Do you agree that the transportation of outsiders creates problem in Lahore?

The transportation of outsiders do create problem sometimes but it does not mean that the outsiders stop coming in Lahore. It is a big city which entertains thousands and thousands outsiders coming to Lahore for their livelihood. The government should work on and plan for wide roads to accommodate the growing number of vehicles on the roads of the city.

18- Are you satisfied with the traffic system of Lahore?

The traffic system in Lahore is not that satisfactory as there are many problems which are disturbing the citizens. The narrow and broken roads need urgent attention of the government as it will become impossible to accommodate the growing number of vehicles in near future. Besides the condition of roads, the traffic rules should be implemented strictly and the traffic wardens should behave in a polite and proper way. The citizens also need to get awareness and follow the rules which are made to protect them.
