Maulvi Fazlullah vows to start a new war in Pakistan

Taliban leader, Maulvi Fazlullah, has vowed to start a new war in Pakistan according to reports. The freedom fighter has fled to Afghanistan following the operation in Swat and is now allegedly regrouping to exact his revenge on the forces that attacked him.

The Pakistan Army’s operation to expel all fanatics from Swat was in its entirety quite successful. However a consequence of that has been that the Taliban are now even more determined to attack the country.

One such fighter is Maulvi Fazlullah, who is often referred to as ‘FM Mullah’ for his energetic speeches on the radio. Being a part of the Pakistani Taliban, Fazlullah has declared war on the Islamic Republic for its US supporting policies.

Although not a member of the Taliban threshold in Afghanistan, he still remains one of them and is obsessed with getting retribution for what the Pakistani forces did to him.

Allegedly he deserted all his worldly belongings to implement Islamic Law in the country but the forces prevented him from doing so. However that has not undermined his efforts and he wants to establish Sharia (Islamic Law) in all of Pakistan not just the Malakand area.

“We sacrificed our lives, left our homes and villages for the sake of Sharia (Islamic Law) and will do whatever we can to get Sharia implemented in the Malakand region and rest of Pakistan,” Sirajuddin Ahmad, a close associate, was quoted as saying.

Although the hierarchy in Islamabad has reportedly asked the Pakistani Taliban to end their issues with dialogue rather than resorting to an all out attack, Maulvi Fazlullah’s advisor claims that the politicians never keep their word.

“Pakistani rulers always approach us through some people whenever their relations with the United States become unfriendly and make appeals to us to help them in restoration of peace in the country.”

“But they forget their promises and become more harsh and cruel when their relations are restored with the United States. We know these tricks of the Pakistani rulers and do not trust in their promises,” his advisor said.

Although the Pakistani government continue their efforts to curb the Taliban threat, there is still some time to go before fanatics like Maulvi Fazlullah are completely eradicated.
