Hillary Clinton admits of US held an investigative meeting with Haqqani network
Hillary Clinton, who is the US Secretary of State, has admitted yesterday that United States held an investigative meeting with the Haqqani network. According to US official this meeting was held prior to the series of massive attacks.
Two symbolic anti-American attacks took place in Afghanistan not too long ago and according to a US official this meeting was held prior to the attacks with the help of Pakistani Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
“In fact, the Pakistani government officials helped to facilitate such a meeting,” Clinton told a roundtable with television journalists watched by the US travelling media.
Clinton told the media US needs coordination among Pakistan-Afghanistan officials for a peaceful solution but Clinton on the same note doubted if the negotiations will end up peacefully. Clinton revealed the meeting held was to test the willingness of Haqqani network. Meanwhile she also mentioned of having a meeting with the Taliban.
“And we want more coordination between the United States, Pakistan and Afghanistan for what must be, with respect to the conflict, an Afghan-led effort,” the chief US diplomat said.
“We believe that there is now an opportunity for us to begin talking, but there is no guarantee that the talking will result in anything that will move us toward a peaceful resolution,” Clinton said.
“We have reached out to the Taliban, we have reached out to the Haqqani network to test their willingness and their sincerity,” she said.
Meanwhile the chairman of a powerful congressional committee Senator Carl Levin accused Pakistani intelligence (ISI) of having relations with the Haqqani network. He insisted if Pakistan will continue having relations with the Haqqani network, United States will break diplomatic ties with Islamabad.
Though US has not been able to provide anyone with evidence about it, Levin remarked in a speech at the Council on Foreign Relations in Washington that he himself saw evidence of ‘direct support’ between the ISI and the Haqqani network.
Pakistani Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar on the other hand stated that if United States will persist with the allegations about the ISI-Haqqani connection the United States ‘will lose an ally’.

My goodness Madam Hillary…. what kind of intelligence and moral values and religion do you people really believe in? For 10 years you people have made the lives of the wretched people of this part of the world more miserable then ever before believing yourselves and campaigning for the world that they are not worth having a dialogue with and understand only the language of guns? And now after around 10 years you find them worth having investigating meetings with and dialogue almost like a worthy partner to deal with. Until few weeks ago lives of these people were not worth pissing on?
Second complain about your so called state man ship potential of some of the democratically elected representatives of some parts and people of USA namely, for example , Senator Carl Levin, (not all parts and people of USA) find it wrong and incorrect of ISI of Pakistan or any one from the entire population of Pakistan including other offices of the government of Pakistan to have any kind of relationship with any one whom you, madam Clinton regard after 10 years of dealing through the openings of your big and small fire arms of very fine and lethally effective quality high technology flying drone bombers with coward human beings sitting many miles away controlling them like toys, playing angels of death for lives of people whom they know nothing about., possible partners for peace? Is the right of contacting the enemies for spy games and intelligence gathering operations reserved only for CIA?
You should have offered this opportunity for dialogue to all the people of this part of the world namely, Afghanis, Iranis, Iraqis and Pakistanis long before you started with your war games to put people against each other and making them thirsty for others blood including yours and making these countries unstable for many generations to come.
Even if Hina Rabanis statement might just be a show for keeping the opinion domestically calm in Pakistan it is worth pondering for you Madam Clinton and gun happy Mr C. Levin. I think USA’s government and its opposition should publicly, openly and transparently acknowledge for the people of both USA and this miserable part of the world that it / US governments have made a fool out of people of America and this region and that it/ government is truely and honestly sorry of loss of lives, time and development opportunities for the people of this region. This would probably earn more respect and tolerance for American war history and foreign policies in future then in the past 50 years put together.
