2011 Pakistan Auto Show began at the Lahore Expo Centre on Monday displaying indigenous spare parts from as many as 130 automotive companies.
The show, which is being held in collaboration with Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts Accessories Manufacturers (PAAPAM), is also showcasing many engineering products, different parts of cars, tractors, motorcycles, buses and other vehicles.
On the very first day, delegations from many countries also visited the exhibition and appreciated this effort that will certainly send a positive message from Pakistan across the world. China along with UAE, Germany, Japan, and Sri Lanka’s representatives have visited the expo at first place while USA, UK, and Spain’s delegations are lined up for a visit later at the last day.
The highly anticipated exhibition was inaugurated by the Engineering Development Board Chief Executive Officer Aitzaz Niazi, who later addressed the audience with great zest. He was very pleased to inaugurate the “2011 Pakistan Auto Show” and shared the tremendous financial stats he and the new Ministry of Industry and Production and Engineering Development Board have achieved so far.
Mr. Niazi explained that auto parts have touched the $80 million mark in 2011 alone and this growth is still maintaining its constancy. While addressing, he emphasized on manufacturers to robustly explore global markets to enhance the country’s exports, which will eventually benefit and bring prosperity in Pakistan.
