One more person succumbed to dengue in the city of Lahore and the total death toll due to dengue pandemic increased from 303 to 304, in the provincial capital, on Tuesday, October 25th.
According to report from a hospital source, Zohaib, a resident of Shah Alam Market lost his battle against the dengue in Mayo Hospital. Almost five to ten people have been losing their lives due to dengue virus in the metropolis area regularly.
Over 30,000 dengue patients have been battling against the dengue in the Punjab province, out of which 17,000 dengue sufferers belong to Lahore alone. On the other hand, 12 new dengue cases were reported in the city of Faisalabad, increasing the total number of dengue patients up to 364, on Tuesday.
In the meantime, 10 dengue patients were tested positive in Nishter Hospital, surging the total number of dengue victims to around about 520 in Multan, on Tuesday. In addition, many new dengue cases had been reported in various cities of the Punjab during the last 24 hours. It includes Gujranwala, Okara, Sheikhupura, and many others.
Due to the horrible circumstances like an increased amount of dengue growth, the dengue experts are of the opinion that the disease might prolong in the provincial capital up till the month of December.
Meanwhile, the dengue experts, doctors, nurses and paramedical staff have been putting their best efforts for the control of dengue in the province. On the other side, people have been criticising the Punjab government’s works for the control of dengue pandemic in the provincial capital.
But, The Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif said that they have not faced too many deaths of the people on account of dengue attacks. They were expecting high death toll due to dengue virus earlier. Thanks to the diligent efforts of the Sri Lanka team of dengue experts, including various hospitals, healthcare centres, paramedical staff, officers and nurses, the Punjab government has been able to triumph over the disease successfully in the province.
Furthermore, he added that if people don’t work for the control of dengue as a collaborative unit, they just cannot be able to overcome the pandemic.
Dengue is a chronic disease that can mitigate the blood platelets of the patients drastically. So, the proactive measures should be taken place immediately for the control of dengue.
