Think Geek’s Iris 9000 combines with iphone’s Siri to make it more desirable
The restless human race is in a state of constant CHANGE. Be it the technological change that have taken the human race in a state of never- ending-awe or be it the way, face of earth is altering by the minute, with armed forces finding homes in newer territories, until they are best examples of man-made deserts.
No matter what form it takes, World on the whole is experiencing change in an inundated fashion. However, a little closer look into the situation will reveal that the change is maintaining its perfect equilibrium too.
Each bad news is pacified with the awesome edition release of yet another gadget, which creates newest benchmark for its competitors to match up to their level. The endless power struggle has given birth to quite a few “Wonders” in the technological world and to name just one of them, “Apple’s iphone 4S” tops the charts, with a whole new level of voice recognition, Siri, already taking the world by storm.
Siri is Apple’s new virtual personal assistant, which responds quickly to simple questions and commands, such as reading out your notifications, responding back to the message just received, initiating a call to a contact, starting up the timer on your iphone, or what not. The list is with endless possibilities and the database for the system took almost two years to reach the desired size.
However, iphone4S featuring Siri is not any ordinary voice recognition, but it is an experience not to miss out on. In my view point “Siri” is the first step towards owing a personal robot, which will be besides you all the time, to give you all the more reason to be lazy.
Apple just did not stop at “Siri” alone, but it went a step ahead, by ruling out the constraints of distant access. Iphone 4S’s Siri integration with Think Geek’s Iris 9000, will allow distant access to your phone from across the room (up to 50 m distance).
Think Geek’s Iris 9000 features a micro remote to operate Siri with a single button punch, built-in mic can pick up your voice comfortably from a distance within its specified operational range, where as the embedded speaker amplify Siri’s responses. This product is scheduled to release early 2012 and is priced at $60.
With Iris 9000, it will be no more absolutely necessary to keep your phone by yourself all the time, but the distant access through voice command is another milestone for other companies to accomplish.
I believe, Apple’s iphone, is the undisputed market leaders setting up precedence for others to follow their lead.
