Ranbir Kapoor and AR Rahman perform live at Rockstar concert in Mumbai

Ranbir Kapoor wants to promote his film ‘Rockstar’ and this is most awaited moment for his fans. He is also really excited about his first live performance in front of audiences. Apart from Ranbir, Director Imtiaz Ali, co-star Nargis Fakhri, singer Mohit
Chauhan and Alma Ferovic (International artise) will also perform.
The Oscar winner’s Rahman will also perform first time for his movie and his long-term associate music arranger Ranjit Barot and Precussion guru Sivamani will also take part in the concert. Deepak Gattani of Rappor, who organized all the concerts of AR Rahman,
will arrange ‘Rockstar’ event with Ashley Lobo (Choreographer).
Source said, "Director Imtiaz Ali only wanted Rahman to score the music and had waited for him as he was busy with his numerous other commitments. Rahman, is now, however, specially taking time off for the concert as the film is about a singer and his music."
Producer Hiren Gandhi told the media that this is for the first time, Ranbir will perform live making the concert a special event for the whole team as well as for Ranbir’s fans. He also plans to visit Bigg Boss 5- Apka Farman to promote his upcoming movie.
He further added, “Rahman sir’s brilliant soundtrack has generated an incredible hype – the songs are topping the charts not only in India, but in US, UK, and several other markets. Hence, planning a concert made a lot of sense, given the craze and euphoria
for the music."
Ranbir is performing as a rock star in the film; for that he has put in his all efforts to duly perform his role, with the support of other well known co-stars. ‘Saadda Haq’ song will be most highlighted in the concert; while Jo Bhi Main, Kun Faaya Kun song
will present with original Qawwali singers. Other songs to be performed include: Katiyan Karun, Nadaan Parinde and Tum Ho.
Passes of the concert will be distributed without any cost and it will be held at Bhavan’s College grounds in Andheri west.
