Accident near G-11 Markaz

An accident recently took place at the junction of the G-11 Markaz signal that resulted in a major injury incurred upon a female pedestrian that was passing by. The woman was hit by a car that was making a wrong turn at high speed and could not come to a
stop even after seeing the women on its way. As a result, the car collided with the female and the woman experienced severe cuts on the skull.

Despite the fact that it was obvious whose fault it was, the car owner, a male, took advantage of the situation and unleashed all the blame on the woman because she was unaccompanied. The on lookers did nothing much to help the situation and only aggravated
it further by taking the side of the male car driver.

The woman, belonging to a lower class sector could not say much in her defense, and the situation was not helped by her constant bleeding that was not being stopped. Upon seeing her dizzy with the blood loss, some one from the crowd eventually attended to
her and suggested that she be taken to the hospital. This suggestion did not sit well with the male driver responsible for the incident as he was demanding a reciprocation fee instead of facilitating the injured woman and taking her to a hospital. After some
heated debate, the driver unleashed some of his last words of wrath upon the injured woman and went on his way.

The woman was hailed a cab from nearby but as she made the confession that she did not possess the money to go to a hospital and get attended, the gathered onlookers felt free to walk away one by one. The woman was left alone in the lurch and went to the
house of a family that she worked in. The injured woman did chores to earn her bread and one of her employers was myself. Having heard the story, the woman named Kulsoom was given the money and sent to the hospital for her treatment.

Such incidents need to be brought to light so that the people of our society are more empathetic.
