Saturday, October 29th, 2011 8:37:48 by Melvin ArthurJames Cameron unveiled some of the first scenes from his upcoming 3D version of the history making blockbuster movie as well as the second biggest earner in film history "Titanic,”.
A Huge screening of 18 minutes duration of the upcoming film was shown at the Paramount studios by Cameron and producer Jon Landau. “Titanic’s” lead cast included Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet as star-crossed lovers. The movie featured ill-fated passenger
steamship that hits an iceberg in the North Atlantic and sunk. The story line was taken from the original incident which took place in the year 1912. The rephrased version of the incident was released in the year 1997 by the title of “Titanic”.
The 3D version of "Titanic" will soon hit the theatres in the region of North America on April 6 2012. The date of the release will be four days before the 100th anniversary of the Titanic’s doomed maiden voyage from Southampton to New York.
The film had earned a huge number of viewers and fans all across the globe and become the highest grossing movie of all time with revenues of more than $1.8 billion worldwide. The movie also earned a paradigm of 11 Oscars including Best Picture and a Best
Director statuette for Cameron.
Titanic remained the highest grossing movie of all time and after more than a decade, Cameron came out with another bombshell for the fans all over the world with "Avatar" which shattered all the records and grossed a humongous $2.8 billion in worldwide
receipts.
For his upcoming 3D version of the movie Cameron stated “I love the 3D, I think it’s spectacular. If I had had 3D cameras at the time, if there had been 3D theatres at the time, I would certainly have shot the film in 3D. I do believe that there is an array
of 10 or 20 movies —think of the best movies of all times —that should be converted in 3D, but it has to be done right. I firmly believe that 3D is an enhancement even for just normal, narrative scenes, not necessarily the action scenes”
The movie indeed was a stellar and transformed the face of filmmaking in the Hollywood and other film industries in the world as well. This time the paragon filmmaker seems to initiate on an experimental ground with the storyline to which ambiguity has its
place whether the magic will be revived or not.
