Imran Khan needs to expand his network if he really wants to save Pakistan

Indeed, outstanding! Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s public meeting at Iqbal Park, Lahore was regarded as one of the biggest political gatherings of last two decades. A large number of frustrated, unemployed and enlightened youth waved flags, raised slogans and
pledged support for Imran Khan who was at the heart of Punjab with just one-point agenda i.e., Save Pakistan (Pakistan Bchao). Good agenda and good effort definitely, but it is not the sufficient and a lot more needs to be done before we can really dream of
breathing with relief.

As we all know that almost 65 percent of the Pakistani vote bank lies in rural areas where illiteracy, ignorance, ethnic leaning and unfair voting still rule the roost. The inhabitants of the remote rural areas are devoid of the vote sense as they always
favour candidates on the basis of family ties, ethnic legacy and geographic grounds. As they are unaware of the value of their votes, they do not evaluate a person before mandating him. It is the main cause we see the same stoic faces in the parliament again
and again, and suffer resultantly.

Only a few people in slums and villages know, through second-hand information, about Khan and PTI. In the next general elections, the ‘voters’—-it is wrong to call them voters as they are merely robots—- are much likely to through their balls on the
courts of the age-old political dynasties again. Then how will the change come?

The time is still in Khan’s hand and the iron is hot. The cricketer turned politician, who the youngsters hope to be their last saviour, must step out of the urban areas and land on the far-flung huts and mud houses to show his presence there and make the
poor foolish voters realised that he is destined to change their lot. He should establish the party offices there and pick some talented, educated and fair guys from that community to promote his agenda and cause.

Khan needs to visit rural communities, intermingle with them and create’ We’ feelings—-all this should be done in no more than six months as the next elections are in the offing. If the emerging leader succeeds in winning the hearts and minds of the villagers,
I assure you no one can hamper the way for the biggest revolution of the history the disgruntled and oppressed Pakistanis have been desperately waiting for last twenty years.

The most important think for Khan to thrive is that he must ensure the elite-hit public that he is one of them, he is accountable to them and he is fair to them, because they want such leader who may feel their problems and sufferings himself and then salvage
them.

Moreover, the every sane citizen should back PTI so that we gift a prosperous and peaceful Pakistan to the coming generations. Sonia Johnson once said, “We must remember that one determined person can make a significant difference, and that a small group
of determined people can change the course of history.”  We will have to rise from slumber and learn to live independently. It is the need of the time. Keep in mind, conventional and traditional politics can give you nothing except inflation, terrorism, drone
attack, oppression and recession.
