John Abraham: I would like to be a real action star like Sunny Deol
Bollywood actor John Abraham has said that he would like to be a real action star like Sunny Deol.
He added that at the moment, people see him as action star and in fact he wants to show himself in his movies like Sunny Deol, who has been the best action star in the Indian film industry until now.
The Indian movies star John also discussed his one of his best movies with media and stated that Aashayein was one of his most beautiful Indian films in his career.
John commented, “I have done my share of experimentation. Aashayein was one of my most beautiful films, but it was four years old by the time it released. There was Kabul Express, New York and also Water, which turned out to be the biggest grossing Hindi
film in Canada. I am not in the number game. More than masala, it is good films that make me happy. Films may fail, but an actor never does.”
Indian actor and model, Abraham made his acting debut in Bollywood with movie Jism, which was released in 2003. It was a thriller movie which, according to Box Office India, was "above average" grossing 13, 25, 00,000.
After that, his next films included a paranormal thriller Saaya also released in 2003, Pooja Bhatt’s directorial debut Paap in 2004 and Ahmed Khan’s Lakeer – Forbidden Lines in 2004.
John added, “Sly and Hugh Jackman’s stunt director JJ Perry expressed interest in making a film, which I will produce. It will have to be differently made with an international feel to it. I want to make a film that will be appreciated. I, Me Aur Hum is
going to be a light-hearted film that audiences will like. I worked with Kabir Khan on New York and Kabul Express and today he is directing Ek Tha Tiger with Salman and Katrina (Kaif).”
John Abraham’s latest film, Force, may have marked a turning point in his career, letting him hit the big league in his upcoming time.
