Roti, Kapra aur Makaan of yesterday is Love, Drug and Money of today

Pakistani people have long waited for the true leader who can fulfil their needs. Bhutto appeared with a slogan of ‘Roti, Kapra aur Makan’ and soon gained a lot of popularity. It was the time when Pakistan was looking to settle down and House, Clothes and
Food were the only basic needs.

Bhutto was supported by the second generation of Pakistan and he was elected as the Prime Minister. He somehow fulfilled the promises or at least was going in the right direction before he was hanged. Bhutto’s death brought an end to not only his government,
but also put breaks on Pakistan’s progress.

The reason behind his life sentence is a totally different story all we can talk on the issue is that it would have been a different Pakistan if Bhutto had lived.

Death of Bhutto followed a long list of Army Generals and different political parties who made their contributions towards today’s Pakistan. Bhutto’s daughter was also given two chances to fulfil the dream of his father but she could not really live up to
the expectations.

Pakistan today is totally a different country as our third generation is all set to spread their wings and take on the challenges ahead. The new generation however has different requirements as they do not only want the basic needs.

It is believed worldwide that the today’s man wants three basic things in his life, Love, Drug and Money. Love needs no explanation as it is undoubtedly one of the most important things we all require in life. It can be love of your belief, an opposite gender,
the love of your country or love in any form but it is indeed the only thing that keeps us going.

The second important thing in life allegedly is drug and it is used idiomatically and shall not be taken by its literal meanings. Drug can be translated as an addiction, something that plays a major role in our lives.  Drug can be an obsession, an aim, a
desire to achieve something positive.

The third important thing in lives of our new generation is indeed money. Money can be used in its actual meaning; it is however used to illustrate the luxuries of life which have now become important for survival.

 Food, residence and clothing are not the only essential things needed in life today. In order to match the fast pace of life we need to provide our youth with the best combination of all the three mentioned necessities.

The youth of Pakistan is between the age group of 18-30 and that makes around 50% of the population. Our leaders of tomorrow will be chosen from that age group and not from the existing lot, which has already passed its expiry date, to be honest!

If we need our new generation to take Pakistan at the international level, we should consider all the aspects. Our new generation shall be equipped with the latest education to understand the upcoming problems that they might have to face.

Availability of technology is another important factor that completely fits under the heading of drug. Latest education, modern technologies and up-to-date system was not considered that important few years ago but the picture has totally changed now.

In order to look the future dead on we must accept the fact that our new generation shall not be deprived from such luxuries of life.
