Halloween party at Rock Bistro brought the dead back to life

Islamabad may be termed as the city that always sleeps and or the ‘city of the dead’ by some, yet on the 31^st of October a certain gathering at the popular restaurant, Rock Bistro, did enough to wake the dead on the night.

The event was held in F10 in the location mentioned earlier and was open to both couples and singles as well. The ticket for couples was at an affordable price of Rs 1200, while ‘stags’ or singles had to pay Rs.1000 for entry.

Was the event worth that kind of money? Well there was an appearance by Pakistan’s own rap protégé, Adil Omar, two dance floor and free slush on the house.

The ambience and decorations were befitting any Halloween party anywhere in the world. Not only were the guests in attendance adorned in ghoulishly freaky costumes, but so was the staff as well.

The two dance floors were alive with characters from around the world. In fact, Iron Man made an appearance with a smoothly executed robot dance and Harvey ‘Two Face’ Dent was seen dancing with Julius Caesar.

The famous wrestler, Sting, was also present, complete with a baseball bat and one of the members of the US Navy Seal team which took out Osama Bin Laden was also busting his moves on the dance floor.

While these were the most notable attendees at the party, there were many more brilliantly designed costumes as well, and very rarely does one see Halloween celebrated with such passion in the city, or rather the country.

One had to look very hard if they wanted to find something to complain about, yet there was one minor issue. At times Rok Bistro felt slightly stuffy with the ventilation not able to cope with the huge turnout of people attending the party.

Again, it was easy to forget once the festivities kicked in but every now and then people would go out for a breath of fresh air.

All in all Aj, Arxi and the other organisers did a brilliant job and gave the city a night to remember and firmly put Halloween down on every Islamabadi’s calendar as a night to party.
