Apple recently admitted the gaffe in the software and announced that a new update will be released soon, to address the issue.
The newest instalment to the iPhone series has been facing a battery drain-out problem; it consumes more battery time than proclaimed by the company at the launch on October8.
According to some reports, the phone, even on stand-by, stays alive approximately 100 hours less than listed time. Many have been misguided that the problem arises from a hardware defect but actually it is a software faux pas that leads to the charging drain-out.
Apple has figured out the source of problem, although they refused to promulgate it. However, they said there will be a software patch coming soon.
The company included a bigger battery to dispatch more power to the dual-core A5 processor chip and the dense Retina Display screen but some misguiding sources say that the battery is just insufficient to justify the advance circuitry.
However, the newest press release by Apple has assured that the battery of their signature handset is perfectly alright and aptly provides for the rest of the hardware. It is actually a software glitch that is creating this nuisance.
Some users have overcome the problem by turning off the local setting for time zones. Therefore, it gives a hint of the problem that Apple has been hiding for more than a month.
The iPhone 4, last year, showed problems with the reception of network signals as the WiFi and GSM/3G antennae are nested on the edges. The quality of signals was comprised when handling the phone.
The iPhone 3G and 3GS both had the battery timing problem. The relatively smaller battery lasted only for a day on stand-by. Some users relate the 4S’s battery issue to the 2008/09 predecessors however; that is not the reality.
