Nokia have gone on to release the Nokia 700, a phone has no expectations riding on its shoulders, but a phone that is more than likely to catch everyone off guard.
The Nokia 700 might not seem like it, but it is a phone that has things packed in it, that its competitors have only placed in phones worth a whole lot more.
To start things off, some of the key features include a very slim 9.7mm body, a 3.2" 16M-color nHD ClearBlack AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with Gorilla glass. A five mega pixel camera and the ability to record videos at 720p. It has a 1GHz processor and
a 512 MB RAM. The phone comes with a built in 2GB memory, but it also has a microSD slot. It has built in noise cancellation, a stero buletooth 3.0 and a built in accelerometer and proximity sensor. Lastly, it also supports TV-out functionality.
There are a few problems with the phone, which include making typing really hard on its small screen. The camera isn’t very impressive and there is no video call camera on board. It has limited 3rd party software and doesn’t support HD TV-Out.
Nonetheless, the phone operates very smoothly and the added power that has been placed under its hood, makes it fall in the class of being voted amongst the best phones Nokia has ever made.
There are hardly any problems with the hardware and the software operates smoothly and offers a sense of stability.
All in all, despite this phone being a Symbian based one and not featuring Windows Mobile, it still packs in a massive punch and this punch is putting it on par with the Androids in the market.
Nokia seem to have struck gold and should the company continue to launch phones like the Nokia 700, they could easily keep up the pace in the smartphone race.
