The reggae-infused track "Our Day Will come" premiered on BBC’s Radio 1 station on Thursday. The song is a cover of the classic song from” Ruby & The Romantics”. Another musically rich track "Like Smoke," a track with collaborated efforts of rapper Nas premiered
at the New York’s Hot 97 radio station on Wednesday.
The Guardian’s Casper stated "There are certainly times when her vocal on a song sounds more like a sketch, even if she was an instinctive artist who appreciated the magic of capturing a first take” Winehouse’s fans have received the new tracks positively
on Facebook and Twitter with admiration and approbation for the late charismatic artist and further entitled the tracks "gorgeous" and "bittersweet."
NME magazine’s Dan Martin was one of the five journalists to be invited at a secret listening session for Winehouse’s album last month. He stated "Our Day Will Come, perhaps more the real Amy than the one that the circus would have us remember"
He further had remarks about the collaborated efforts like "Like Smoke" which sounded more like a nerve-wracking of the whole record. Nas had to complete the leftover demo after Amy’s death in the month of July.
The forthcoming album of Amy Winehouse in December entitled “Lioness: Hidden Treasures," was announced on the late artist’s official website earlier this week along with the 12-track listing. The album includes Winehouse’s hit singles like "Valerie" along
with unreleased tracks and new compositions.
Winehouse had gained wholesome fame after back to back hits on the charts and with her 2006 release “Back to Black” she was top on the lists. After her apex era from the years 2007-2008 she had issues with her health and had been instructed my medical professionals
on a number of ocassions to abstain from the use of Alcohol.
The Singer was found dead in her North London home and reports concluded that she had consumed alcohol five times more than a legal human limit which was the key reason for her death.
The Singer’s posthumous album has gained a higher number of anticipators with such compilation of musically-rich tracks and vibrant genres and it surely promises for the album to be a stellar.
