Eid holidays are here and the festive excitement of the Islamic event is the air. Bus stands and roads all over the country appear busier than usual as people tend to use the holidays to travel. Those living away from home are home bound, some are visiting
relatives whereas others use the holidays to for leisure.
The travelling aside, the fact that there will be a number of holidays in the next few days surely comes as a sigh of relief for a dominating majority of our hardworking countrymen. The workers, officers, and students are all among the excited, eagerly looking
forward to the days of free-time and bliss.
Eid-ul-Azha is upon us and every Muslim on this day tends to celebrate it with a great amount of delight and joy. The blessed event lasts three days and holds significance in the fact that sacrificial animals are sacrificed in the name of Allah to celebrate
Hazrat Ibrahim’s practice.
Although there are those who will still have to work during these holidays in order to make sure that those on holidays have themselves a good time. Especially the soldiers of our Army who are defending the border will have to celebrate this blessed holiday
on work. Although this is not a preferable situation to be in, our people persevere.
The sigh of relief sweeps particularly over students and workers who have been working very hard prior to the holidays. Specifically students who had their papers before Eid. Imagine the relief of students who work and study at the same time. For these few
extraordinary individuals of our society, the holidays are truly a blessing.
When you don’t have work and you get to have relatives around on an occasion on which you are decreed to celebrate, it is pure elation.
Let us celebrate the occasion with love and harmony among us and let us pray that this day marks the happiness of Muslims all over the world. Spreading peace and love is the true essence of religion and let us do it abundantly in order to set an example
for others to follow.
As for the students who have their papers right after the holidays, check yourself before you wreck yourself.
