John Abraham sets to become a comedy actor in Bollywood industry

After the success of his action film ‘Force’, the muscular heartthrob of Bollywood John Abraham now speaks about his age-hold relation with comedy. He has proved that he can be a good action hero and also wants to continue his comedy genre too.  

He started his comedy journey with Akshay Kumar’s in ‘Garam Masala’. This film earned a lot of profit and went hit on the Indian big screens. John and Akshay are also working together in the upcoming movie ‘Desi Boyz’.

John told the media that the genre as ‘Dramady’ is a combination of drama and comedy. Deepika Padukone and Chitrangada Singh will also play a major role in ‘Desi Boyz’.

The actor says that ‘Desi Boyz’ was different movie and it was a comedy that the viewers have not witnessed as of now.

He added, “I have improved in the comedy genre also. In fact, Akshay has complimented me for having an improved comic timing and now I feel I have delivered better than Akshay (he laughs).”

In the movie, john is playing a role of Nick Mathur, who loses his job due to recession and he does escort job to earn money. The film is being directed by Rohit Dhawan, who is son of director David Dhawan.

Taking a new role may have some risks but John takes it in a positive direction and showed trust on the director.

He explained, “I have always worked with new directors. I am a very risky actor who works with risky directors. I did ‘No Smoking’ with Anurag Kashyap; the film was a risk for me as it had a very different storyline. I have always taken up the most different
concepts and I love the risk involved in it.”

In this movie, Akshay Kumar and John Abraham will be seen in pole dance and John commented that it was real fun to do pole dance with Akshay.

After the poor marketing of his last movie ‘Force’, John is hopeful for his upcoming movie ‘Desi Boyz’ to make good big business in the Bollywood.

He liked working with both Deepika and Chitrangada and feels that Deepika is quite hard working, Chitrangada is playing a key role in the movie. The film is set to release on November 25^th.
