Haqqani talks about Pak-US relations

Hussain Haqqani, the Pakistani ambassador to the United States recently gave a statement in which he made it clear that Washington should not have any confusion about the sincerity of Pakistan towards America, particularly; that
Pakistan had never doubled crossed the United States.

Haqqani expressed himself in such a manner while he was present at the First South Asia Peace Conference that was being held in the University of North Texas that is situated in Denton.

Having made the statement, Haqqani also acknowledged the fact that there have been and still are differences between the two nations however, that does not mean there is a severe lack of understanding between Pakistan and United
States. On the other hand, both the nations have been able to develop a solid understanding over the years gone by.

Considering and acknowledging this fact, Pakistan as well as United States needs to go forward with resolving the problematic issues between by keeping their minds open. Also, both the countries need to accept the fact that the issues
between Pakistan and United States will not be resolved within a matter of days but it would take considerable time. However, that does not eliminate the possibility of reaching a mutually agreed upon solution.

Apart from the topic of the relations between United States as well as Pakistan, Haqqani also touched upon the issues that are prevalent in the South Asian region. The ambassador of Pakistan quoted the examples of other South Asian
nations and how they had been able to solve their issues. Likewise, Haqqani said, Pakistan also possesses the ability to solve its regional issues and is working diligently towards achieving that goal.

Haqqani also mentioned the European nations such as Germany and France and how these nations have a single visa for its people that has made economic as well as other aspects a lot easier for these countries. Haqqani expressed his
appreciation of the single visa policy among the European nations and also showed eagerness for the South Asian countries to follow the same pattern in order to boost the social as well as economical affairs among the countries.
