Commericalisation of relationships: A gruesome norm
Friday, November 11th, 2011 8:07:55 by Sharjeel AhmadWith the dawn of the 21st century, where many old traditions have diminished and new trends have set in, the commercialisation of relationships has also become a norm in the modern word. Love, affection, respect and care are no more left as driving
forces behind formation of relations; only needs, interests and commercial advantages seem to be on work.
In this materialistic era, no one loves, cares for and respect his/her fellow beings without monetary interests. People have turned to be hypocrite. Hearts and words match nowhere. One may justify this tendency as a ‘crucial need’ of time, but it is absolutely
immoral in terms of humanity.
It you take a keen look on the modern society, you will find immense sufferings, pains and sorrows. Why is it so? Just due to the sour fact that true passion of love and sincerity have vanished. We are not what we pretend to be. Every individual is adorning
a mask on his/her face. There is a wide gulf between professed and actual realities. Is not all seems to be so nonsense?
Taking a short space, I would like to share one of my personal experiences here. I have a ‘friend’ who hails from Lahore and works in media. He poses to be the ‘best’ friend of mine. I receive a phone call from him after every three to four months. After
formal greetings, he assigns me a target and, for sake of ‘friendship, demands me to do it. As I possess a little bit soft heart, I take responsibility and then do the given task by hook or crook. There is no contact between us for the next three to four months.
Interesting, but pity!
Do you not think that we are doing unfair with the auspicious words like “friendship” and “love”? We use them as shields to secure our heinous interests, and, to the extreme of immorality, we are contend with this practice that has become order of the day.
We do not avoid to deceive our close ones even blood relations for gaining our ends.
If this fashion goes on and surety it will, believe me, human sufferings can never come to an end. We can never have sweet sleeps, easy minds and light hearts. We will continue to experience bloodshed, heart attacks, suicides and much more such type of bullshit
stuff. Then who is going to live the life actually? Kindly, bother this point for a moment.
