Bollywood star Abhay Deol has said that he would love to work with a car brand, because he is looking at a couple of action scripts.
After his few hit movies, Zindagi Na Mile Dobara is one of them, Abhay Deol has slowly built himself up as a strong brand.
He talked to the media and told them that he has met a lot of people for his his brand endorsement and they are all eager to take on his work, but he has not signed up with anyone yet.
Abhay added that I would like to clear all of you that right now only one person is representing me and he is his manager Shobha. He has not jumped onto the brand wagon agressively, but I was something which he wants to do now and strike a balance his acting
and brand endorsement.
The Indian actor further stated that heis available for endorsements at the moment, but not for everything that comes to his way. In addition, he mentioned that some people said him it appears that he does not want to do endorsements, but he is open to it
and will endorse what excites him.
Abhay explained that he would love to work with a car brand, as he is looking at a couple of action scripts. Cars make him think of speed and stunts, and that is something that excites him.
Talking to reporters, Abhay Deol commented, “I entered films by doing conventional romcoms like Socha Na Tha and Ahista Ahista, which didn’t make money. So I switched to offbeat films, because that was what I always wanted to do. That’s when it started to
pay off with films like Ek Chaalis Ki Last Local, Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! and Dev.D. I always wanted to have a collection of work that was consistent and would get me noticed in the industry rather than one or two commercial hits.”
He went on to mention, “There’s Navdeep Singh’s Rock The Shaadi and Dibakar Banerjee’s Shanghai. I was thrilled to work with Navdeep and Dibakar again. After ZNMD, I felt the need to work with people I have an equation with. Shanghai is topical as it deals
with corruption and has the nation up in arms against the system. I am happy that people are giving my films bigger platform and better marketing. I have become very picky as I understand the business a little more now. I want to raise the bar further.”
Apart from that, he is working for an Indian film Roy, which will be released on January 26, 2012.
