Tension between the US Government and the Iranian Government took a new turn for the worst on Saturday, November 12, when Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, urged Iran to conform to the latest nuclear concerns developing at the moment. She told the press
at Honolulu that the United States was weighing its options and discussing the matter with her allies across the world.
There has been an excessive escalation in concerns over the stability of the Middle East after the United Nations released a report through the International Atomic Energy Agency on the Iranian ambition to research nuclear energy for ballistic missiles.
The report released on Tuesday stressed on the concerns that Iran was developing its nuclear program to figure out how to shift nuclear warheads to missiles.
The Iranians have ushered a harsh warning against aggressors. The government is denouncing the report and it has told the press that it would not budge from its scheduled path towards civil nuclear energy development.
"Regarding Iran, we discussed the recent report raising serious concerns about the weapons-related work the Iranian government has undertaken," Clinton said after talks with Asia-Pacific ministers in Hawaii.
"Iran has a long history of deception and denial regarding its nuclear program and in the coming days we expect Iran to answer the serious questions raised by this report," she said.
"The United States will continue to consult closely with partners and allies on the next steps we can take to increase pressure on Iran."
The Israeli President Shimon Peres spoke to the media recently and his comments have maddened the Iranians further. He claimed the thoughts for an attack on Iranian soil were becoming more and more likely. Leadership on each side has been aggressive towards
the other in the recent days.
US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta has come out to warn both sides on the potential distress caused from a potential confrontation. He believes if the US attacks on Iran in the coming days, the balance of peace in the Middle East will tilt towards the wrong
side.
As tensions continue to mount on each side, it is becoming a real concern on when hostilities will end in the long run.
