Dengue takes two more lives in city, death toll reaches 359

 

 

Dengue claimed two more lives in city, as the total death toll increased from 357 to 359 in the provincial capital, on Sunday, November 13.

According to research reports the various sources of the hospitals and healthcare centres, 65 year old Rashida Bibi of Gujarnwala succumbed to dengue at the Ittefaq Hospital. In the meantime, 65 year old Muhammad Boota of Hassan Town lost his life as a result
of dengue fever at the Jinnah Hospital during the last 24 hours, in Lahore.

Approximately, 87 new dengue cases had been reported on Sunday, mounting the total number of dengue patients to 32,808 in Punjab. Meanwhile, The Punjab Health Department disclosed that around about 91 dengue patients had been restored to health and released
from Teaching and District Headquarter Hospitals of Lahore, on Sunday.

Almost 26 dengue patients had been released after the successful treatment from the Mayo Hospital and 24 patients from the Services Hospital during the last 24 hours, in Lahore.

In addition, nine dengue patients had restored to health and been discharged from the Jinnah Hospital, and 15 patients from the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. Moreover, five dengue victims had recovered and been released from the Lahore General Hospital, on Sunday.

Furthermore, nine dengue sufferers had recovered and been discharged from the Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital and three patients from the Mian Munshi Hospital during the last 24 hours, in Lahore.

According to research reports from the Punjab Health Department, approximately 20,647 dengue patients had restored to health and been discharged from the various private and public hospitals, healthcare centres and sanatoriums in Punjab, of whom, 17,287
dengue patients hailed from Lahore alone.

At the moment, more or less 331 dengue patients are being given treatment at various hospitals and healthcare centres, of whom, 268 patients belonged to Lahore alone.

In the meantime, The Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif revealed that the Punjab government has decided to train the nurses from the various hospitals by sending them in Thailand in the upcoming stages for the control of dengue.

 The action from the CM Shahbaz Sharif has been appreciated by many officials of the various hospitals, doctors and paramedical staff.
