Investigations into Iran’s nuclear program have taken another turn. According to International Atomic Energy Agency, this time it seems that the Islamic republic had help from oversees.
The name of Russian scientist, Vyacheslav Danilenko, has been rung up in the latest evidence released. However, it cannot be slated with precision that the aid from the Soviet scientist was instrumental in Iran’s nuclear program.
No bomb was built and the evidence is ambiguous. The technological advancements made under the tautology of Danilenko can have peaceful as well as military applications. Nevertheless, in the current situation nothing can be said with certainty.
Vyacheslav Danilenko role and his acquaintance with Iran can be traced back to 1991, when the Cold War abruptly ended. The Soviet weapons scientist was out of work as his three decades of experience became questionable. The only thing Danilenko was good
at was the ability to blow up objects with timely precision.
He struggled to become a businessman as his idea to use nuclear technology to create synthetic diamonds was unappreciated in the United States as well as Europe. Iran was his final destination and the rest is history.
It has not emerged that the Russian is one of the central characters in the developing mystery of Iran’s nuclear program. Reports have stated that the estranged businessman is at the centre of the whole program that has been carried out in universities and
civil organizations.
A trail of evidence can be sourced back to Danilenko that offers rare glimpses into the secretive program camouflaged in public entities.
“It’s like being an astronomer studying a black hole: You detect the black hole’s presence by seeing what falls into it,” said Art Keller, a former CIA analyst who specialized in Iran. “With covert programs, you watch for the flow of raw material and outside
expertise.”
However, the jury is still out on Vyacheslav Danilenko and whether he was involved in Iran’s nuclear armament program.
With United States and its cronies looking to target the oil rich state, the world has to stop and take notice. Is it a repeat of the Iraq War where American armies bombed unarmed civilians with all their might. Many have lost their lives and it is time
someone stood up and asked the important question.
“Where is the damning evidence?”
