Imran Khan rules out support of establishment

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief, Imran Khan, is widely believed by many, particularly his opponents and disparagers, to be supported by the establishment.

Opposition leader, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, is convinced that the ISI (Inter Services Intelligence) supported in the success of PTI’s gathering claiming that he is ready to provide t proof of this in the National Assembly (NA).

For the first time, this impression has been discarded by Imran Khan in straightforward statement. While speaking to an international TV channel, he, accurate to temperament, stated that he will never let anyone to influence him. Furthermore, he informed
that, otherwise, the army chief and also the powerful ISI’s head will be accountable to him.

This is positively a greeting declaration, came out at a time when everyone is speculating about his supporters. It also comes in line with a remark made by Imran Khan to a newspaper that the army would never be competent to move in, provided the civilian
government worked with aptitude.

The position taken by PTI Chief is clear and it has to be said that, for all his other faults, he has credibility more than any other politician in the ruling class.

Such remarks evinced that he will like to do what he is speaking about. It also depicts that he will actually like to be in rule of himself and in the made-up circumstances that he assumes command, will put all of them under his control.

PTI Chief is certainly right when he claims that this is how things should be worked.

The matter is that whether this can truly be the case or not. Earlier on, the governments have fought to take the army under their control, either straightforwardly or from behind a shade, that covers its actions to some scale.

The commanding ISI, which over the decades has full-fledged numerous grips that reach into virtually every area of the state, is more difficult to administer.

In fact, there is some disbelief if it is influenced by anyone at all, or if it has divided into different groups.

If Imran Khan can do what he claims he aims to do so, it would be a gigantic accomplishment because that is how institutions should work in a truly democratic system.

But PTI may get the going harder predictable when the time really comes to fulfil his words into practical actions.
