A slight reduction in dengue pandemic due to changing weather conditions

According to reports from the various hospitals and healthcare centres, no death was occurred in Lahore, on Monday, November 14. More importantly, the weather conditions have been changed drastically across the province.

In the meantime, the majority of dengue experts said that the dengue mosquitoes cannot breed during the winter season. As a result, the dengue pandemic is expected to subside for the next months in the area.

Furthermore, the dengue specialists stated that media should play an active role in the city by launching dengue awareness campaign programs in different schools, colleges and even universities.

Moreover, the citizens need themselves to be active for the dengue awareness campaign by spraying the procreation areas of the dengue mosquitoes at their homes, offices and public parking areas.

In addition, the team of dengue spray experts will still need to be active themselves by spraying the breeding spots of the dengue mosquito.  The majority of the dengue experts and doctors claimed two months ago that the dengue epidemic was expected to collapse
in the forthcoming months in the city.

Moreover, they accentuated that people will need to adopt preventive measures for the control of dengue by following the doctors’ recommendations.  One of the key sources of dengue’s reproduction is the sanitised water, so please try to dry off your areas
as much as you can.

Meanwhile, The Punjab Health Secretary Jahanzeb Khan applauded for the humanitarian efforts of the dengue experts, doctors and nurses, who had played a critical role in the control for dengue during the Eid-ul-Azha days.

He asserted that the government of Punjab had set up a plan to send nurses out of the country in an attempt to prepare better for the control of dengue in the country. The Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif pronounced the names of
various doctors, nurses and paramedical staff that will be sent abroad for training.  More importantly, they would go to Thailand to get full-fledge training on dengue.

Meanwhile, 43 new dengue cases had been reported in Lahore, increasing the total number of dengue patients to 32,864. One dengue patient was reported in Mayo Hospital, while three patients in Jinnah Hospital. Four dengue patients were tested positive in
the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, while two in the Institute of Public Health, nine in the Services Hospital, and five in the General Hospital.
