A study reveals, Television May Cause Depression

Medical experts believe depression is a state of low mood and feeling of revulsion that eventually takes an individual to self-indulgence in an appalling manner that constantly creates the surroundings of that very person dispirited.

And now a study has showed in the American Journal of Epidemiology the results of people watching television are more likely to get depression than who do not like to sit in front of this modern magic box.

US experts including some renowned doctors gathered and assessed more than 50,000 people mainly women and made a resounding result regarding depression and it’s far beyond reach. Those experts compared the general public who are often inclined towards exercise
and those who do not pay attention to this very important stress reducing procedure instead watch television for hours.

After assessing those samples, the proportion that came later was 20% to 13%. Those who watch television more and never go out to exercise are more at misery 20% than who love going out and exercise regularly 13%.

A foreign news paper quoted lead author Michel Lucas as saying, “Higher levels of physical activity were associated with lower depression risk.”

This study can also benefit the elderly especially women who often develop depression and watching less television, will improve their fighting spirit to reduce the level of depression. Not only watching less television but doing exercise will also help
