Arrival of 110 Air-Conditioned CNG Urban Buses In Lahore

 

The Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif inaugurated 110 air-conditioned CNG urban buses, in Lahore, on Tuesday, November 15.

While speaking about the excellence of the CNG air conditioned buses, the Chief Minister stated that these buses would definitely promote the smooth functioning of the public transport culture across the metropolis.

More importantly, they would trim down the traffic congestion and jamming problems throughout the urban area. One the most important reasons of introducing modern buses is that they are durable, comfortable and affordable transports.

In the meantime, Shahbaz Sharif said that the Punjab government will introduce the air conditioned CNG buses in all other areas of the province, including, Multan, Bahawalpur, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Gujrat and Dera Ghazi Khan very soon.
As a result, it will diminish traffic jamming problems of most of the urban areas in the province.

Furthermore, Shahbaz said that previously all the governments did not pay any attentions to the traffic congestion in the area. Rather, the former leaders bundled a huge amount of money in the name of subsidy on these transports. More importantly,
they provided smoke-emitting, tattered and dilapidated buses to the citizens of the local areas.

Moreover, The CM proclaimed that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had fulfilled their oath of providing cheap, durable, innovative and comfortable buses along with the latest air-conditioning facilities to the citizens of Lahore.  More
importantly, the senior citizens, above the age of 65 won’t have to pay any fare to the bus conductors.

During the all time important juncture in the history of Pakistan, many renowned celebrities were present there, including provincial ministers, MNAs, MPAs, senior officers, scholars, journalists, musicians, artists, representatives of the
Chinese bus company Foton, apprentices and many others. While addressing the ceremony, Shahbaz Sharif said that it was really a special occasion for all of them to be the part of this historical juncture.

Further he added that the Punjab government has launched 110 air conditioned CNG buses in the city, which will definitely help the citizens towards their safe and sound journey across the capital. Moreover, the Punjab government has planned
to introduce another 700 buses for ensuring the best transport facilities in the city.

In the end, The CM expressed gratitude from his side to the Chinese companies, Foton and Busco for providing the advanced air-conditioned CNG urban buses to the citizens of Lahore.
