Akshay Kumar and Johan Abraham to attend Bigg Boss, to promote Desi Boyz
The Bollywood top stars – Akshay Kumar and John Abraham will come in famous Indian television reality show Bigg Boss, to promote their upcoming movie ‘Desi Boyz’.
Both the actors are reported to join ‘Aapka Farman episode of the show on Saturday. Bigg Boss is jointly hosted by other two superstars of Indian film industry, Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan.
Desi Boyz, the Hindi film is directed by debutant Rohti Dhawan, son of director Dhawan. The film’s main casting includes — Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone and Chitrangda Singh, whereas Sanjay Dutt will be playing
a minor role. Rohit’s first film as a director will be released on November 25, 2011.
Desi Boyz making started on November 7, 2010 and it was completed in May 2011. Earlier, the leading actress role was offered to Sonam Kapoor, but she rejected the offer. It was also reported that Anuskha Sharma was also offered
a role in the film but she refused. As a result, Chitrangda Singh was assigned the role of leading female.
The films first theatrical trailer was on shown on September 23, 2011, together with ‘Mausam’, whereas the next trailer was on aired alongside Ra-One on October 23, 2011. The music of Desi Boyz is composed by Pritam and lyrics
are written by Irshad Kamil Kumaar and Amitabh Bhattacharya.
The film is an action comedy, which focuses on the story of two men. Previously, Akshay stated that the film is totally different from their movie Garam Masala.
“Many people ask me whether this is Garam Masala Part 2, but I tell them there is no similarity with it. The characters are different in this movie than Garam Masala. In fact, in this movie we also have a message which says wherever
you stay never leave your parents and the roots,” commented Abraham.
Earlier, Ranbir Kapoor and Singer Mohit Chauhan also attended the show to sponsor their film Rock star. Ranbir chatted with the contestants and had a great fun during the show. According to recent reports ‘Rockstar’ might be released
in the beginning of year 2012.
