Shah Mehmood Qureshi will have an unsuccessful political career in future, said Raja Riaz

Raja Riaz, the opposition leader in Punjab Assembly, predicted that Shah Mehmood Qureshi is leading himself towards an unsuccessful political career. He proclaimed that Qureshi will most probably join Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) or Pakistan Muslim League
– Nawaz (PML-N).

While addressing to a press conference, Riaz said,"Whatever the party he joins, Qureshi will be defeated by the PPP candidate in the 2013 elections."

After the resignation of Former Foreign Minister, both Mr. Qureshi and PPP members are putting allegations on each other. The PPP members are doing so because Mr.Qureshi accused President Asif Ali Zardari of compromising on National interest.

According to the statement of Qureshi, there is nothing left in PPP and it has nothing to bring Pakistani Nation out of their current crisis. He also said that it is no more Bhutto’s Party.

Riaz replied to Qureshi’s statement in his press conference by saying that he is least bothered with the resignation of Mr. Qureshi. Three other PPP leaders, Ashraf Sohna, Zulfiqar Gondal and Shaukat Basra were also present at the press conference.

He added," he (Mr Qureshi) left party for his petty political gains. If it’s not Benazir’s party, why he remained part of the party for three years? "

He also rejected Qureshi’s allegation on Zardari that he pressurized him to give political immunity to Raymond Davis, who killed two youngsters in Lahore, this January. According to Riaz, PPP took opinion of all parties, including the Punjab Government over
the issue of Raymond Davis before taking the decision.

Mr.Riaz accused Qureshi that the previous government of General Pervaiz Musharaf facilitated him.

He added, "I was arrested along with him (Qureshi) in Faisalabad. I was sent to jail while he (Qureshi) was kept under house arrest for the reasons only known to him.”

Riaz also articulated that the Punjab Province will be bankrupted if Shahbaz Sharif continued working as Chief Minister of Punjab. He told the press that all the workers of Punjab including sweepers and teachers were forced to attended the PML-N gathering.
