The news about the release of Nicole Scherzinger’s new album, Killer Love in US has been roaming in the air for quite long now but the album has not made its way to the official release in America so far. The artist has suffered multiple push-backs for the
release of album in US and it seems like the music Gods won’t let her become great solo artist. According to the recent news, the album has once again been delayed for next year.
The American singer, songwriter and dancer, Nicole Scherzinger, best known as the lead vocalist of band Pussycat Dolls, recently confirmed on Twitter to her fans that ‘Killer Love’ is not set to release in the United States until January 2012.
Answering to a fan’s question about the release of her album, Scherzinger tweeted, "Looking at releasing the US album in Jan 2012."
Nonetheless, the debut studio album by Scherzinger, was released in the international markets on March 18, 2011. The Interscope Records, in association with its affiliated record labels released the album. Scherzinger started recorded the album in 2005 and
thought of releasing it under the title Her Name Is Nicole in 2007. However, most of the unsuccessful singles and poor timing led the project being pushed back numerous times into 2008 and 2009.
Scherzinger would then go on to drop the album, referring to bad timing and creative issues as the reasons for its cancellation. In 2010, following the release of the Pussycat Dolls’ second album Doll Domination, Scherzinger hired Moroccan producer Redone
to produce material for her debut album, who put a new life in the album. After much effort and hard work, her solo album clawed its way to the international market but it is still due to release in the U.S.
Quite recently, Alex Macpherson from BBC Online had his say about the album: "Scherzinger is one of the few pop performers with the requisite power to dominate [her] beats rather than vice versa.
Killer Love is far from the album you sense Scherzinger could still deliver: at times, her personality is all that – barely – carries substandard, unmemorable songs."
