Reality bites so does Shahid Afridi
Saturday, November 19th, 2011 5:56:15 by Rana Nasir GhafoorBoom Boom Afridi is a highly intellectual cricketer on the planet; look how funny I can write! Not just a fine player, the Pathan is an excellent dancer as well. Remember, once he showed his moves on the wicket during an international game.
Along with a sharp mind—–though I doubt he has any—– Afridi has immense physical power and the strongest part of his body are his teeth, he often uses to bite hard cricket balls (Ball tempering).
It has been learnt that the boiling all-rounder danced on the pitch to rehearse Bhangra, an item he prepared for the stage performance on his 116th birthday party.
Afridi is back in the side after his phenomenal acting on the TV screens. The guys, who are currently sharing dressing room with the big man, need to keep their eyes open, as Afridi, alongside balls, loves to bite people around.
According to an unreliable source in PCB, Boom Boom’s sudden return to the national setup is a solved mystery. In the one-on-one meeting with the new chief, the former skipper might have unleashed his dancing/biting talent.
After the meeting, the chairman uttered that Afirdi was still good for One-dayers. While Mr. Ashraf was lavishing praise on the all-rounder, the marks of Afridi’s teeth were evident on his neck.
“It was a cool get-together with Afridi. He showed a lot of respect to me and I hope that the all-rounder will stay in the team till his last breath because I don’t want such meeting ever again in my life,” said Mr Ashraf while stepping into the ambulance
that took him straight to the hospital, where he underwent a serious plastic surgery.
It has been observed that the blistering young man has a routine of smashing his head to the wall after getting out on a duck. According to a fairly accurate calculation, he has knocked 123 walls down so far in his over-300-game-old ODI career.
Ironically, Afridi is now happy to play under Misbah-ul-Haq – the 37-year-old gentle man who calls even younger girls as Bajis. Since Misbah is an innocent dude and Afridi is dangerous, it is likely that the present captain will soon say good bye to the
leadership duties and blissfully hand over it to the vampire, I mean Afridi.
