United Nations’ supervising body for global nuclear activities has warned Iran on its alleged plans to develop nuclear weapons.
The supervising body from U.N tends to get more suspicious about Iran’s nuclear activity. Iran has claimed that due the increase of it power consumption it needs to build more efficient power resources.
In response Iran has revealed that they will not accept any kind of pressure imposed on it. In fact it will only make their decision stronger to resist any sanction.
U.N.’s body consists of 35 nations that supervise the activities. During its last meeting majority of the members have agreed to on the resolution that expresses to increase the interest in Iran’s nuclear power project.
Following the meeting the body reported that Iran holds intentions and has worked on the development of an atom bomb.
At Washington, authorities have expressed their view in harsh words that criticise the matter. Some sources have also revealed that U.S. is planning to impose some sanctions on Iran’s petrochemical industry. The sanctions can be announced in the next week.
The intentions of Washington were to send a message to Tehran. The United States is also looking forward to halt the multinational companies from aiding Iran’s petrochemical industry, with a threat of restrictions on access to American markets.
Press Secretary at White House, Jay Carney said, "The whole world now knows that Iran not only sought to hide its uranium enrichment program from the world for more than two decades, but also engaged in covert research and development related to activities
that can have only one application: building a nuclear warhead.”
Carney also added that the resolution has revealed the true intentions of Iran, as it deceitfully claims that its nuclear program is peaceful. He also said that U.S. will continue to pressurise Iran with sanctions.
U.S. Defence Secretary Leon Panetta and Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak discussed the matter during the conference held in Canada.
Panetta shared that the States focus to impose hard sanctions over Iran that will increase diplomatic pressure over it.
