Lahore, November 20: Finally, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Lahore (BISE) has declared Intermediate part-I result after making the corrections through the rechecking of papers. The announcement was made on Saturday, November 19.
Many senior members of education department were present there on the occasion of announcement of the revised result including Mujtaba Shuja Rehman the Punjab Minister of Education, Allah Bakhsh the Chairman BISE Lahore.
It has been revealed that 124,702 students had participated in the examination of Intermediate Part-I. Out of this total number of students, 62, 647 students remained successful in passing the exam. Before the rechecking of papers, approximately 49,432 students
were reported to have cleared the exam. The previous ratio of passing students was 39.60 percent whereas, now it has gone high to 50.25 percent.
While addressing to the people present on the occasion of the announcement of result, Shuja Rehman said that all other boards of Punjab will also announce their rechecked or revised results within a period of 45 days from now onwards.
The Chairman BISE Lahore said that those students who are still not satisfied and want to get another revision of their papers can contact to the concerned department in the head office at Lahore.
Among the top position holders in all programmes of Intermediate Part-I are, Muhammad Umar, Zamad Gillani and Muhammad Aamir Ayyaz from Government College University (GCU) whereas, Zabreen Tahir and Fatima Qamar from Kinnaird College (KC).
The students from GCU and KC have made a clean sweep by taking top positions in all programmes of Intermediate Part-I. On the other hand, a few students from other colleges earned the second and third positions in different programmes.
The correction of the result has relieved the students from the frustration and disappointment they have been facing for the last few months. Now, like the revision of result in BISE Lahore, in all other boards of Punjab will also announce their revised
or rechecked results of Intermediate Part-I before a period of 45 days to make the students relieved from the frustration they are facing at the moment.
