Universal Children’s Day urges every Pakistani to play an active role for kids’ rights
Monday, November 21st, 2011 8:02:06 by Umair HassanA day for every kid in the world (Universal Children Day) was celebrated on Sunday 20th November to mark a very deep thought of care for the kids and at the same time misery especially for poor countries’ children.
Along with many others, Pakistan too observed a day with full support to country’s kids, their toughness, poor education, and bad healthcare conditions.
Country’s several educational institutions held different seminars regarding children’s rights and tried to portray the attention of higher-ups in the society as well as government officials who hold the power of decision making at the very top to grass
root level.
Karachi press club that organized a little sort of meeting also invited Prof Dr Zareen Fasih, who is general secretary of Pakistan Paediatric Association (PPA), said, “It is very important to treat our future generation with respect and provide them equal
opportunities to explore new horizons, About 48 percent of our population comprised children and we have to bring up our future in better way.”
This is an initiative of UNICEF for ensuring every child’s right for better food, education, healthcare, and protection under a very pleased environment.
All across the World, the shocking numbers of kids’ misery due to bad health is 70% of overall deaths in the globe. This 70% means 11 million children which die due to six probably avoidable causes, including diarrhoea, along with malaria, neonatal infection,
pneumonia, preterm delivery, and lack of oxygen at their time birth.
