Nokia Lumia is a big hit in Europe, says the Nokia official website
Friday, November 25th, 2011 4:12:52 by Usman KhalidA couple of days back some resources depicted that Nokia’s new Windows Phone smartphone is not attracting the predicted attention in the market, especially among European customers.
However, the Finnish company mooted all these falsehoods on their website, stating several statistics that lead to an ideal first week to Nokia’s first PDA-based smartphone.
The company stated that Lumia 800 is the second favourite phone on Vodafone-UK’s website, closely chasing Apple’s iPhone black. Moreover, the flamboyant Cyan-coloured version of the Lumia is the third favourite after the Magenta version.
In Netherlands, the phone showed the same statistics as in UK, just falling behind the iPhone 4S Black. The Orange-UK website also stated that the Lumia is gathering so much attention that it is predicted it might see a scarcity in inventory.
The general assumption the false survey made was that despite the fact that Nokia made the first smartphone with the latest version of Windows Phone, WP 7.5 Mango. Moreover, the colours, its available in, cater to every demographic in the market. It’s curved
Gorilla Glass AMOLED screen is one of its kind.
On the contrary to the earlier assumptions, the phone is a big hit in the market with all its latest technology albeit the single-core processor, which is a little low-tech but not bad for daily mobile computing.
The stats shown by Nokia also revealed that the company might need to reinforce their production units as the stores in Europe are running out of the new Lumia 800.
Vodafone warned that the weekend might see a shortage of the handset. Orange stores in the UK are already short of these phones, while the rest of Europe might see a dearth in inventory in next few days.
So far the statistics provided by the Finnish cell phone makers are credible, more than the previous resources, of course. However, a much thorough report can only be made at the end of 2011 fourth quarter that ends on December 31.
